Meet the Sisters
Sister Cathleen Marie Timberlake, OSB Aka The Soap Sister - has been perfecting her artisan, handcrafted soap for more than 20 years. She treasures the connection she makes between prayer and soapmaking. Her work has been featured in the book, “The Art of Soap.” She is a past president and current board member of the Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild and was recognized as one of Ingram Magazine’s “50 Missourians You Should Know.” |

Sister Dawn Annette Mills, OSB Sister Dawn is the prioress general of the Benedictine Sisters and is the author of “The Gospel According to Dawn.” She completed a master’s program at the Institute for Culture and Creation Spirituality at Holy Names College and has also taken courses at St. Louis University and at the University of Notre Dame. She has served as director of development, as a pastoral minister and an oblate director. She is a popular and frequent presenter and collaborator with religious groups of various denominations. |

Sister Hope Rodenborn, OSB Sister Hope is the creative genius behind our salves and three butter soaps. She entered the Benedictine Sisters at age 15 and made her first monastic profession in 1959. She has fulfilled several roles in our Congregation, including as vocation and novice director and as superior. She loves strolling our peaceful monastery grounds, carefully collecting the delicate flowers that find their way into her salves. |

Sister Joan Ridley, OSB Sister Joan Ridley, OSB is an author of several articles and the book, “In the Presence: The Spirituality of Eucharistic Adoration.” She earned degrees in social work and law, using them to serve the poor in ministry with a Dominican order. In 1996, she embraced the call to contemplative monastic life and made a formal transfer three years later to the Benedictine Sisters. She has served in a variety of leadership positions within the Benedictine Sisters, including superior of the Tucson, Arizona, monastery and as a member of our Congregation’s General Council. |

Sister Josetta Grant, OSB Sister Josetta is drawn to ingredients that are natural and healthy. Working with wax and hand pouring each candle is a contemplative work she finds peaceful, and she prays for all who use her products. She made her first monastic profession with the Benedictine Sisters in 1957 and has served in several leadership positions with our Congregation, including prioress. |

Sister Marie-Jona Yoo, OSB Sister Marie-Jona was born in Korea and transferred to the Benedictine Sisters in 2018. She has spent time working in our altar bread department and shares her sewing gifts with us, including her fine, fun and functional aprons. She loves the link between prayer and creating something people use in their homes. |
